For some reason, Tali finds the tumble dryer to be fascinating, avidly watching its many cycles and spins. Personally, I don’t see the appeal but compared to a lot of TV programmes nowadays, I think Tali has the right idea.
My second Thought Bubble was even more fun than my first thanks to good friends, good comics, good food and questionable dancing (not by me…) The train journey back from Leeds I could do without (hence the comic being a day late,) but Tali welcomed me home the best way she could.
Thank you to everyone who came by my table too. It was nice to talk to others who are so keen on cats!
I like to have documentaries on in the background while I work as it makes tedious work more bearable and naturally, Tali likes to watch too. Especially the ones with small furry animals in. Her eyes are glued to the screen if ever a squirrel saunters by.
I had a quick chat with comic enthusiast site Bleeding Cool on Saturday at Comica Comiket about my comics and their inspiration. Because most of my stories have twists of some kind, it was tricky to go into too much detail but it was nice to chat to a fellow lover of comics.
And yes, the old adage remains true - hearing my voice on a recording sounds really weird!
Tomorrow is Guy Fawkes night where British skies are filled with colourful explosions and the smell of burning effigies but not everyone find the whole thing quite so enjoyable. Don’t forget your feline friends who may be scared of all the noise and to help, I’ve made this handy guide.
I have one last minute addition to my shop - even though I said the 2014 Calendar was the last addition but hey, I guess I’m a workaholic. Based off of my advent calendar comic from 2012, I redrew the panels with pen & ink and gave it a colour scheme reminiscent of retro Christmas cards. The comic is printed on an A4 Gesso card and can either be bought online or I’ll have some with me this Saturday at Comica Festival too.
If you want to play games with a cat, you should probably let them wake up first.
I’ve always wanted to make a calendar. So I did! Taking 12 Diary Comics and a whole lot of numbers, the 2014 Eat, Sleep, Sniff Calendar can now be pre-ordered from my shop. As soon as they’re back from the printers (estimated w/c November 4th) they’ll be posted out.
After the multiple posts of last week’s new arrivals to my shop, I figured a recap was in order! So either via a PayPal checkout or coming along to one of the upcoming conventions - the first of which is this weekend at MCM in London - you can now get an Eat, Sleep, Sniff Tote Bag, Superhero Pussy A3 print, Cat Pattern A4 print and last but certainly not least, the third compilation comic book called Book 3.
I think Tali must have magical fur because depending on the day, her colour goes from shades of brown to shades of grey. It’s made drawing and colouring her a bit tricky. I bet she does it on purpose…
I wanted to do something a bit special with the latest compilation book of my Diary Comics so I’ve put together somewhat of a bumper collection. Simply called Book 3, it’s an 88 pager full of comics, 64 of which are all my Diary Comics from July 2012 to October 2013, 4 pages of Tali. A Day In Her Life and a brand new 6 page mini comic called Doctor Dumblittle staring me, my wife and Tali.
If you would like a copy plus personalised doodle inside, Book 3 can now be ordered from my shop for £7.
You can never have enough cats. And to prove that point I have a new print in my shop which is all cats, all the time. Hang it on your wall or use it as a makeshift collecting chart, either way, cats!
With two posters dedicated to Video Game Pussy in my shop, I thought I’d turn my attention of moggy-morphing to the world of superheroes instead. The classics are present such as Wolverine, Iron Man, Thor etc but a few smaller but equally awesome characters appear too.
The prints are A3 (297mm x 420mm) on 325gsm uncoated paper selling for £5 and are available from my store or at an upcoming comic con.
I’ve been toying with the idea of producing a tote bag for a while and have had a few requests for one too. So I got to scribbling and am happy to say that tote bags are now available in my shop!
The size of the bags are 380mm wide by 410mm high with a handle of 380mm. If you’d like one for yourself, head on over to my shop or visit me at one of the many upcoming conventions I’ll be at in the next couple of months.
